Homemade Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Flavours

Meet Zohar
AKA "Zoe"

Hello, I’m Zohar, I want to introduce myself, share my story with you, while welcoming you to my website.
I’m 37 years old and a mom of three beautiful kids. I came to Canada 8 years ago for a short vacation after an intense 4 years of naturopathic college. While I was here, I fell in love with my now-husband, Jeff, and I never really went back — except, of course, to visit my loving family and friends.
Jeff and I met in Oshawa, a city close to Toronto. We lived there for a short time before moving to Thunder Bay to be closer to Jeff’s family, in the city where he spent most of his early life.
After realizing that my schooling was not recognized in Canada, it took me a few years to understand what I wanted to do with my life, aside from being a mom — something I love with all my heart.
Jeff and I come from two different religions, foods, and cultures, and together we created something new that we call home. We celebrate twice as many holidays — maybe triple for Jeff, lol — with lots of friends, family gatherings, good food, and time spent together.
This is how Zoe’s Shakshouka was born, and how the idea came together for me to start a food truck serving my traditional food.
The idea is to combine my love of the kitchen with a healthier food option for the city, while introducing the unique flavours of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food with a small twist. Along with a few of the dishes I already sell from home and at market events, I will also be serving a unique pizza/shakshuka cone.
